In a region of high mountains, of mighty rivers and Great Lakes, in the geographic region of the Valley of Calamuchita, is General Villa Belgrano.
At the end of the decade of ` 20 and at the beginning of ` 30, a group of origin immigrants central european arrives at this earth attracted by the beauty of the place and with the project to develop to agricultural cooperatives on the base of the plantation of apples and walnuts. It was so it decided to settle down in the Valley of Calamuchita, since it reunited these conditions. In 1932 the first 15 families attracted by the beneficial climate and the landscape arrive that to them its mother country remembered. They brought signs will to root in this hospitable and great country and chose this Valley like his new mother country.

In 1937 "Villa Calamuchita" denominates itself. Four years later and in the occasion of inaugurating the asphalt of its main street is made festejo coincident with the new anniversary of the foundation of Villa. This way the "Celebration is born of the Beer", that in 1967 is declared of provincial interest and in 1980 "National Celebration of the Beer" is declared, conforming next to the Celebration of the Viennese Mass (Passover), Celebration of the Alpine Chocolate (winter vacations) and the Navideña Fair, the annual calendar of festividades.
