The climate of this region is mediterranean and the city center is at 615 meters above sea level having almost no wind and registering ideal temperatures to enjoy life in the outdoors. Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is doubtlessly a place with history, and a faithful reflection of that is the architecture that goes back to 1575 with the arrival of the Spanish Jesuits that used to build "cazar" as the one of San Ignacio.
