ocated on the verge of Panaholma River, at 945 meters above sea level in the called " Valle de Traslasierra" and 150 kilometers away from Córdoba Capital City, this is a village framed by the occidental slope of the " Cumbre de Achala". To get to this region of the country from the Capital City of the province, you must take the winding road of the "Altas Cumbres" which has an excellent pavement and ride 55 kilometers until you arrive to the village. It is a place with history and tradition which used to be called " Villa EL Tránsito " in the past, but in 1916 its name was changed in order to honour the gaucho priest called José Gabriel Brochero who promoted human rights working on many charity works apart from the evangelizing work in the area. Villa Cura Brochero has particular features like mesothermal waters and a microclimate that contributes to revitalize and detoxicate the body, turning it into an ideal place to enjoy your deserved holidays. Most days at the Village are sunny with temperatures ranging from 17ºC to 31ºC in Summer and from 5ºC to 18ºC in Winter. br>You can go on varied excursions in the surroundings of Cura Brochero such as historic tourism visiting Centenario Square where there is a bronze statue with the figure of the pragmatic religious man or the homonimous museum created to perpetuate the priest´s memory. You can also practice sport fishing in Los Sauces River or in Las Maravillas, La toma or Los Cedros beaches. Apart from that , you can enjoy some adventure tourism activities like hiking, horse riding or four trax excursions around San Lorenzo Narrow Path or along Los Túneles. Villa Cura Brochero, you can visit other towns like Mina Clavero and Nono. In the Village, history and landscape get together to surprise you with its endless charm. You should visit it.
