Villa Cura Brochero

illa Cura Brochero, in the name of the Father.
Traslasierra is a beautiful natural region of the province of Córdoba, located to the west of the Grandes Mountain ranges (that reach the 3,000 m.s of height) throughout which, serranos towns of peculiar enchantment grow surrounded by natural beauties.
Pure air, benign climate and profuse vegetation, next to the Mountain range of the Comenchingones and the Champaquí Hill, comprise of the landscape that added to the historical and cultural tracks, and on the western slope of the Summit of Achala presents/displays Villa Cura Brochero.

Formerly call Villa the Transit, changed its name in 1916 in tribute to the father Jose Gabriel Brochero, famous Priest Gaucho who lived in this given to its evangelizadora mission.
Its founded by the Pbro. Francisco Aguirre who in September of 1864 informs to the diocesano Bishop who has transferred the church from San Lorenzo to a new lot, donating the land that occupies the church and the premises for the rooms of Cura and a school.

"Brochero Priest" received the Curato of San Alberto the 24 of November of 1869, and began to accompany to the neighbors in spiritual exercises and impelled the construction of a House of Spiritual Exercises in Villa of the Transit. Once finalized House, began to rise to the School, destined to school and boarding school of children farmers, who were finished in 1879. A year was inaugurated later, when the nuns of the Community of Slaves of the Heart of Jesus became position of the establishment.
