apilla del Monte, four centuries of history.
More than 400 years of history in the reign of comechingón, we will have before our Vista when arriving at Capilla del Monte.
Its name was taken from oratorio erected in 1695 by a devotee lady of San Antonio de Padua Doña Lucia González Jaimes, whom later origin to the one of Stay of San Antonio del Monte gave.
In year 1824 the urban helmet of the present city, being San Antonio de Padua patrono of the same one forms.
Some indicate the 30 of October of 1585, like original date conducted by the colonizador Bartolóme Jaime.
Comechingones of the historical time was the resultant of different influences, but the incaicas did not arrive until them and the amazonian ones were very weak distinguishing itself for that reason of other towns of the northwest.
According to some historians it can be spoken of "true ínsula ethnographic within which the elements of a fundamental culture have been conserved that, at certain time, would have been common to good part of the Argentine northwest."
