he city is located in the southeast of the Province of Corrientes, on the left bank of Paraná River and in an area of thick vegetation washed by lagoons and estuaries.
The climate of this region is hot with temperatures ranging from 20ºC to 31ºC in Summer and from 9ºC to 20ºC in Winter providing the area with an ideal environment to grow tobacco.
Goya is 222 Km away from the Capital City of the Province through Nº 12 and 27 National Rutes and through Nº 14 till Nº 12 National Routes to get from B.A.
There are many attractions that make Goya a touristic place. One can visit Tobacco and rice mills or practice sport fishing of surubí, dorado, pacú and patí.
The region also allows one to observe its fauna made up mainly of deers from the marsh, allygators, foxes from the forest and capybaraes as well as to go on four track rides to the Palm groves in the surroundings.
Among the interesting sites to visit in the city there are places like the river drive , Italia and Mitre Squares. The Church of the Rosary and the Church of the Rotunda, the Floating Pier and the House of the Culture.
In the outskirts, one cannot miss a ride in motorboat around the isles and islets on Goya River, or going to the Indian Cementery on the banks of Miní Brook, the Devil´s Chapel and Ñaembé Lagoon.
From April to June Surubí National Festival takes place attracting fishers from everywhere while swallows from San Juan de Capistrano- USA- provide a great spectacle in the region.
