hajarí, the city of the orange groves.
Chajarí is City framed by extensive orange groves, located to 12 km of Represa de Salto Grande.
The region was inhabited by native towns pertaining to parcialidades charrúas and also by the guaraníes, that had arrived at the zone from the north. Until the expulsion of the jesuitas, these developed in the zone, tasks of evangelización with the native communities.
Through Law 1875 of the 28 of May of 1872 Villa is created Freedom that will be precursory of the population of Chajarí, promoting the colonization and the radicación of families immigrants.
Immigration comes mainly from regions of Italy and is fomented by the National government as of 1876, with the supply of lots for its operation.
Leonidas Echague, governor of Entre Ríos promotes east immigration and is so with originating families of Venice, Lombardia, Trento, the Alto Adige and Friuli, the population of the site begins itself. An administrative employee, Mr. Pablo Stampa fulfilled a shining management in the establishment of the colonos by that time, so as they on the matter testify the multiple notes that keep the archives from the place. In 1942, its municipality is declared of First Category.
Between its representative figures one remembers Jose Campodónico, first President Municipal, Camila Quiroga (Camila Passera, its true name) glory of the national theater, Paolo Stampa used of the General Police station of Immigration that brought to the colonos.
Next to the City is the Thermal Park Chajarí, a park of 40 you have on the National route, with medicinal waters of 40,3º in well mouth with appreciated therapeutic properties. The main characteristics are that they are Cloruradas and Bicarbonatadas, being stimulating of multiple organic functions.  |
