Don Pedro Luro and his children developed in the Sea of the rising Silver, a tesonera work directed to lay the foundations the progress of the town. To Jose Luro it must to the inauguration of the Bristol Hotel that occupied three
plants. To Doctor Pedro Olegario Luro it please must the initiative in the construction of the Seaport of the Silver. Her daughter Maria Luro de Chevalier caused the construction of the Church of San Pedro, today Cathedral of Santos Pedro and Cecilia. By Law of the 15 of October of 1879 the provincial Legislature created the Party of General Pueyrredón, dividing in two parties the one that took the name of General Balcarce. The 13 of December of 1880 were named Judge of Peace Antonio Alvarez, who was also the first President of the Municipal Corporation. In 1883 Ovid Zubiaurre happened to him in the position. With the arrival of the railroad the 26 of September of 1886, the town of Sea of the Silver went transforming into a modern urban center, having approved the prolongation of the railway branch between Maipú and Sea of the Silver, management due to the Governing Dart Rocha, which besides to mark the beginning of the summery activities, marked the beginning of immigrations of foreign colectivities, like Italian and the Spanish, among others.
In 1887 the Executive authority of the Province designates first intendant of General Pueyrredón to Fortunato of the Seat.
In 1888 is constructed the first wood boulevard, raised on props sunk in the sand being called Playa Bristol, exactly in the slope of the street San Martín. This boulevard, very simple, was destroyed by the sea in 1890. After the destruction of the first boulevard, the Pellegrini Boulevard was constructed immediately, greater and
more perfect. This second boulevard was destroyed by a fire in 1905.
The 25 of October of 1906 are presented/displayed another project in the legislature, having solicitd that the Town of Sea of the Silver, is recognized like City.
In the session of the 19 of 1907 July this it is approved. In decade 1920, as the affluence of veraneantes was greater, some members of the elite of first veraneantes of high class, began the exodus towards the south of the city,
settling in Small Beach and Great Beach, beyond Cabo Current until Golf. The scope of meeting of this group was concentrated in the Club Sea of the Silver inaugurated in 1908 and located in Av. Luro between Marine Bv. and Rivers. The last great events that finish consolidating to Sea of the Silver like one of the main cities of the province, will be: the inauguration of the port of the city, occurred in 1923 and the inauguration the 23 of January of 1938 of the national route N° 2; since these facts favored the integration from the city to the national economic space and the development of the tourist industry.  |
