The zone was in its remote origins residence of the tribes Puelches and Moluches, to those who a antiguedad of 13,000 years is assigned to them. One classifies them in two types different by his way from life: farmers, who cultivated to feed themselves and were sedentary and the other hunters, nomadic and nomadic. The made excavations have offered to stone instruments and human rest, that denote the existence of an indigenous cemetery. This amount and diversity of found elements reveal the presence of a group of permanent residence that possibly made its huntings by the marine coast maintaining its seat in one toldería located in the shore of the river.
The jesuitas, like in other zones of our country, were the precursors of the Buenosairean colonization when the Spaniards as soon as they dared cross a river Matanzas. At that time, they already had settled down four towns to 400 km of Buenos Aires. In 1748 a group of missionaries initiated exploration trips, between which was the father Jose Cardiel, who in his mission to the River of the Willow passed by the place that at the moment occupies the bath. Towards the year 1830 these earth were adjudged by the favor system, for the cattle young.
In 1832 they happen, paying for the Atlantic Ocean, the captains Parker King and Roberto Fitz Roy who leads to the famous naturalist Carlos Darwin. The first surveyor who measured lands that later would be part of the bath, was Raymundo Prat, the 14 of January of 1836. The mensura corresponded to the land granted in enfiteusis to Francisco Rodriguez de Socas or Luis Benito Boado, on the Claromecó stream.
Thus new landowners will follow one another like: the Creek, the Alive ones, the Noriega, the Uriarte, propulsive of the colonization, the Lefrançois, the Jonas, the Massini, the Rodriguez Larreta, and the Bellocq. All pawned on consolidating the fecundity of these fields by the footpath of the work and the progress. Later Juan Bellocq acquired most of them and founded the stay "San Francisco". After their death, the children inherited earth and began to promote what they called "the corner of Claromeco ´". Quickly one became the site looked for by the villagers to enjoy the summers and the first houses of the villa began to build themselves towards 1910. In 1901 the first hotel was inaugurated, whose proprietor was Antonio Fernandez Molina.
