Boca will be a defender short in 2006. It is Rolando Shiavi who signed a two and a half years contract. Yesterday comes an AR$ 600,000 worth agreement with Hercules. Boca’s number two shirt belongs now to Matias Silvestre.

“There just a little bit missing. We are close. We’ve all done efforts. Boca, us, the player, all. And we’ll say that this story reach a god end.” declares Francisco Roig, the Hercules vice-president and Macri’s friend.

Boca still keeps on with its strategy to come off of experienced players. In the mid 2005, the club let Cristiano Traverso, Raul Cascini and Anibal Matellan leaving. In December, Boca intent upon to not renew Diego Cagna’s contract. Now goes Shiavi.

An extra-footballistic reason to that: beyond the AR$ 600,000 Boca will receives, the club save an extra AR$ 600,000. Why? El Flaco earned AR$ 400,000 a season and his contract ended late June 2007. Boca avoid paying him a year and a half contract.
